All students wishing to graduate from TRECA Digital Academy must meet the following requirements:

  • Pass all sections of the State of Ohio Proficiency or Ohio Graduation Tests.
  • Successfully earn 20 high school credits according to the table below.
  • Carry at least four (4) classes at all times during each semester.
  • Successfully complete a minimum of four (4) credits as a full-time TDA student.
Graduation Requirements

The following table indicates the credit requirements for each graduating class through 2007. These requirements meet the State of Ohio minimum graduation requirements.

*--    Science units must include 1 unit of biological sciences and 1 unit of physical sciences

**--  Social Studies units must include 1/2 unit of American history and 1/2 unit of American government.

***--Electives units must include 1 unit or 2 half units in business, technology, fine arts, or foreign language.

Ohio Graduation Test(OGT)

Student must also pass all 4 section of the Ohio Graduation Test(OGT) to graduate. The Ohio Graduation Test serves three purposes:

  • Ensures that students who receive a high school diploma have demonstrated at least high school levels of achievement.
  • Measures the level of reading, writing, mathematics, science, and social studies skills expected of students at the end of the 10th grade.
  • Meet federal requirements for high school testing

Students take the OGT for the first time in the spring of their sophomore year. Students can continue to take the tests in the fall and spring of their junior and senior years and during the summer.

Post Secondary Education Options (PSEO)

The Ohio Post Secondary Enrollment Options (PSEO) Program is intended to provide expanded opportunities for appropriately qualified high school students. It provides high school students (grades nine through twelve) with the opportunity to earn college and high school graduation credit through the successful completion of college courses. The window for notifying schools of your intent to participate in PSEO is the month of March of the year preceding the year of participation.
