Mission

The mission of TRECA Digital Academy is to prepare students for lifelong learning and intelligent decision-making while enhancing and facilitating student learning by providing

• state of the art digital curriculum and instruction;
• innovative and collaborative leadership;
• technical expertise and support.

Guiding Principles

We believe that no student should be placed in a high stakes, state mandated, testing situation until he/she has the skills and understanding to be successful. Our guiding principles are based on the belief that time is the variable and the outcome is constant.

• The State of Ohio standards will be used as the platform for which we align, assess and organize all units.
• All students will work to the same standards, but we recognize that not all students acquire skills and knowledge at the same rate.
• Intervention strategies will be in place to identify students who are not progressing adequately, and enrichment opportunities will be available to those students progressing at an accelerated pace.

The school for a new generation, TRECA Digital Academy (TDA) provides a comprehensive K-12 online education that meets or exceeds all of Ohio's academic standards. Supported by Ohio school districts, TDA is Ohio's only non-profit online school whose teaching staff is 100% state certified by subject. TDA provides students with the latest computer and iPod technology, allowing them to progress at their own pace, on their own personalized school calendar, 24/7. A TDA diploma is accepted by colleges and universities across the country, as well as the military.
